Parent Partner - Family Recovery in Recovery and Restoration
Responsibilities:
- Provide peer support to parents involved with child protective services who are working through substance use challenges.
- Share personal recovery and parenting experiences to inspire hope and resilience.
- Help parents navigate the child welfare system, treatment programs, and community resources.
- Attend meetings with parents as a support and advocate when needed.
- Encourage family voice and help parents build skills to achieve their goals.
- Work closely with staff and partners to promote positive outcomes for families.
- Personal lived experience with recovery and child protective services.
- Ability to connect with and support parents in a nonjudgmental, respectful way.
- Strong communication and advocacy skills.
- Commitment to confidentiality and maintaining healthy boundaries.
- Knowledge of recovery supports, treatment, and local family resources preferred.
