We are seeking a part-time(20 - 28 hours per week) Program Assistant in our Aging Services Department. In this role you will perform a variety of program, administrative and clerical duties to support the efficient operation of our Aging Services Department. You will do this by: 
  • Daily perform multiple functions relating to Meals on Wheels, volunteer or client software insuring accuracy and speed.
  • Perform comprehensive clerical duties including but not limited to database entry, filing, scanning, phone and email communication, and spreadsheet and document preparations.
  • Assist in schedule management for home visits, volunteer matches and group coordination. This includes responding to, answering and placing phone calls, responding to and sending messages regarding scheduling and services.
  • When needed, assist with Senior Café operations: register diners, complete documentation, place orders, handle payments, set up, serve, clean up, create a welcoming environment and expand program activities. Recruit and train volunteers to assist with Senior Café.
  • When needed, assist with match meetings, MOW routes, and other off-site program events and activities.
  • Effectively communicate with the program leadership and staff to ensure information is received and entered accurately and within established timelines.
  • Assist volunteers and clients as requested/directed.
  • Regularly attend meetings as scheduled or directed.
  • Working a schedule that is responsive to program needs, which may include evening or weekend hours. 
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional skills in MS Office programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook, database software, problem solving and analysis. They will exhibit detail-oriented planning and organizational skills. They will be goal-oriented and efficiently prioritize and execute tasks. They will work effectively with different types of people and demonstrate warm and respectful communication skills in both internal and external customers.

An associate’s degree in human services, administrative support or related field and two years of experience in volunteer management, human services, or program support is required. Five years of experience in these fields in lieu of a degree is acceptable. Experience using an EHR is preferred. A valid driver's license, proof of insurance and dependable transportation are necessary for this position.
